Good evening everyone,

Of course, in true cyclocross spirit the sky opened upon us today and it got a bit cold, as appropriate for our first day of racing. We hope our non-championship racers had a great time today. Including one who has volunteered with us the last couple of days, raced, hit the course as a crosswalk marshal after, and then received her medal at the awards ceremony. Killing it and a big thank you! We then ventured into the first of our championship races and had a 60-64 women's field of 21! Pumped about that!

Information for tomorrow's races and some notes for the rest of the week below. Should be short and sweet.

The ever crowd-pleaser, call-ups and start lists can be found here. For staging and call ups, please line up on either side of the road leaving a channel in the middle for riders to move into the start grid.

For folks who haven't yet been to the venue, we are at Fort Steilacoom Park, 8714 87th Ave SW, Lakewood, WA 98498.

If you haven't received your number yet, please head to registration to pick up your available number after our delivery issue. Registration opens at 7:30 a.m.

For tomorrow's non-championship team relay, please email your team composition to Valecia Frasier. Valecia needs to know all riders' names, license numbers, and a team name. The team relay course, will be the amateur course minus run up one and descent one. This is the first junior 11-12 modification on the course modification map. Time bonuses will be assessed for weather overnight and will be given at the start line, along with race format.

We will try to accommodate course preview between races at the discretion of staff. It depends on the race situation and will be a race-by-race decision. The announcers will announce that riders can enter the course for preview. Riders must enter the course beyond the finish line and not pass any racers completing their race. We have three open course windows a day and the Kinetic warm up tent is available if we are not able to accomplish this.

We have a couple of volunteer opportunities still available, if you are in town with a rider and would like to help out, check out the volunteer positions still open.

A note from our officiating and timing crew. Please make sure numbers are visible and upright like the rider here.
Be sure to stop by the food trucks in the expo, the self-serve press booth, and our partner Shimano!

While you are in town, check all the
happenings locally and some of the events taking place off venue.

Live stream will be up all day on Saturday (yay!) and Sunday, you can view it here with our partner Shimano.

Live results can be seen here and here are official final results. Send to all your friends.

If you have a parent, coach, or family member that would like to receive nightly emails regarding the event please email, Valecia Frasier, to be added to the email list.

Shoot, that wasn't so short and sweet, like your grandmother. We won't fib anymore. Weather is looking up the next two days.

See you tomorrow,

The National Events Team
