Follow the country roads to #MTBNats!

Good evening everyone,

What a fantastic day of racing today! Trails dried out, we had blue skies, and incredibly cute kids out racing. Over on dual slalom we had a banger of a race in three categories with Evan Metcalf, Jordan Bell, and Mike Hummel coming out with the win. Tomorrow we’re into our cross-country masters championship races as well as our enduro championships which are sure to be great racing. Check out below for important information regarding tomorrow’s races.

Cross country:
9:00 a.m. XC M 55-59: 3 laps
9:02 a.m. XC M 60-64: 3 laps
9:04 a.m. XC M 65+: 2 laps
9:06 a.m. XC F 50+: 2 laps

All athletes tomorrow will not ride the downhill rock garden. Athletes are not allowed tech support in the feed zone and only water/food handups as well as eyewear. No pit passes are required for tomorrow.

Start list

We will be starting the enduro race in two waves. The first wave will start at 12:00 p.m. from the cross-country finish line. The second wave will start from the cross country finish line at 12:35 p.m. You need

We had some questions regarding chip placement on your bike for the race. We ask that you place your chip on your stem. Placing it here helps keep your chip safe from falling off and providing us with timing for you. If you are unable to place the chip on the stem, please place it in a safe place near your stem!

Please do not proceed past the start signage at each stage until you are giving your start by the officials. If you do so and get within 10 feet of the timing wires your stage time will start. So don’t do it!

We have a cut off time of 6:30 p.m. at the start of Stage 7. If athletes have not started Stage 7 by 6:30 p.m. they will not be allowed to finish Stage 7. If you are in this situation you will still be placed in the final results.

You are required to carry all the equipment that you will use for the entire race. You cannot drop helmets with the exception of at the bottom of Stage 3 where your helmet will be transported to the start of Stage 6. You may leave your half-shell at the top of Stage 6 where we will transport it to registration in Expo for you to collect. You are also required to wear a helmet at all times during competition.

Prelim results will be emailed out to riders and posted on our results board outside of Shaver’s Center on the deck. At that point in time you will have 30 minutes to protest results and can do so at registration in Expo with our officials.

See you tomorrow,
