Follow the country roads to #MTBNats!

Good evening everyone,

What we thought was going to be a dark and gloomy day turned into a beautiful, warm, and sunny afternoon. You could even say it was hot out. Here’s to fingers crossed for tomorrow’s weather as well. Our cross country racers took to a course that only got faster throughout the day and we saw a repeat win in both our men’s and women’s pro races. Over on the downhill track our pro men’s seeding race was decided by three seconds between two riders who grew up riding here. Tomorrow is going to be a great final on Western and it could be wild if we get weather, bring your chainsaw! We also have our short track races which are always fun to watch with all-out efforts over 20 minutes. You’ll find important info below for tomorrow’s races.

See you tomorrow,

Tara

Downhill:

Start list

Please make sure you arrive at the start line with your chip on. If for some reason you are missing your chip, please go to registration so we can give you a new one to ensure that you can race. If we see weather coming in we’ll keep you updated as we go by email updates, staff at the top of the DH track, posts on our Twitter account, and postings in registration on the results/update board.

STXC:

While we were looking at the 15-18 men’s call-ups we felt the amateur cross country call-up procedure was lacking for this race. We will be using UCI rankings and then short track rankings for the call-up order. In order to ensure a safe starting procedure we will be calling up all riders who have rankings in the above order.

No rock gardens will be in the short track race.

You can find call-ups here.
